About HotWhois
HotWhois retrieves IP WHOIS and domain WHOIS information for IP addresses and domain names. Results can include the country, state, city, address, phone numbers and email addresses of an IP provider. Its lookup mechanism uses Regional Internet Registries and 88 domain WHOIS servers covering 120 domain zones.
When a registrar has no WHOIS server, HotWhois can submit the query through a web interface. It supports SOCKS 4 and SOCKS 5 proxy servers, can identify the name and version of a remote web server and can ping a host to check availability.
The program integrates with Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. Results can be printed, saved as formatted text or copied to the clipboard. The interface supports English, French, German, Russian, Catalan and Spanish.
